Exporting volunteer data

When you need to pull your volunteer information out of INVOLVE, the custom export lets you choose exactly which columns appear. That way, you're not exporting sensitive data you don't need, and you get a clean spreadsheet that's ready to use.

1. Navigate to your list of volunteers (either My Volunteers or a program's volunteer list)
2. Filter your volunteer list to the group you need, then select the Export button
3. In the export modal, tick at least one field from the basic information section (first name, last name, email, and so on). At least one of these is required before you can generate the file
4. Use the additional fields search to add anything else you need. This includes all built-in profile fields, such as languages and skills, as well as any custom fields your organisation has set up. You can mix and match them freely; for example, you could combine Languages with a custom field in the same export. Just type the field name and select it
5. Select Generate to download a CSV of the data

What fields can be included?

The table below covers all built-in fields. Any custom fields your organisation has created will also appear in the additional fields search by their own name. All custom field types are supported, including text, number, date, single-select, multi-select and tag fields.
